Aufgabe der Gemeinde als Bewilligungsbehörde ist es, die zahlreichen temporären Bauprojekte anlässlich der WEF-Jahrestreffen zu prüfen und wo die gesetzlichen Vorgaben erfüllt sind zuzulassen, zumal ein WEF-Jahrestreffen ohne die Nebenveranstaltungen auch kaum noch denkbar ist. Gleichzeitig ist es aber auch Aufgabe der Gemeinde, den Bedürfnissen der Bevölkerung und des Tourismus gerecht zu werden. Das WEF selbst kann nur in Davos bleiben, wenn alle Tätigkeiten und Aktivitäten rund um das Jahrestreffen in einem Gleichgewicht bleiben und nur dann, wenn auch die Bevölkerung den Anlass weiterhin trägt. Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, evaluiert die Gemeinde jedes Jahr das Baubewilligungs- und Logistikkonzept und beschliesst soweit notwendig neue Massnahmen.

As the approval authority, it is the task of the municipality to examine the numerous temporary construction projects on the occasion of the WEF Annual Meeting and to approve them where the legal requirements are met, especially as a WEF Annual Meeting is hardly conceivable without the side events. At the same time, however, it is also the responsibility of the municipality to meet the needs of the population and tourism. The WEF itself can only remain in Davos if all activities and events surrounding the annual meeting remain in balance and only if the population continues to support the event.
